Improve individual / group performance
It does not make sense for a person to think, act or interact in a manner that is contrary to their best interests or the company's best interests. However, people who lack sufficient self-awareness, are low in self-efficacy, have negative thought patterns/habits/behavior, possess inadequate "soft" skills, or shun growth and development opportunities tend to do so. As a result, even incredibly talented, gifted, or experienced people may find it challenging to improve their performance significantly to reach their potential. Conversely, without these issues, some highly successful top performers/leaders may one day realize they have become a victim of their own success while facing the adverse consequences of ever-increasing demands, stresses, and issues that success creates.
Coaching supports and challenges people to think and act in a manner most beneficial to themselves and those with whom they interact. It encourages greater self-awareness and higher self-efficacy while identifying and changing or eliminating negative thought patterns/habits/behaviors. It fosters robust relationships, greater collaboration, efficient time management, increased productivity, less conflict, enhanced skills and improved success management. The greater the number of individuals within your group/company that collectively improve their performance, the greater the probability of improvement in overall group/company performance. And for leaders, as personal performance improves, leadership performance will improve to the degree to which a leader is thinking/acting/interacting not only in their own best interests but also in the best interests of the company, its people, and the customers they serve.
