Move beyond “stuck”
Feeling stuck in a problem, situation, or thought process can cause frustration, discouragement, and confusion. If unresolved, remaining stuck can lead to anxiety, fear of being trapped, a lack of confidence, loss of control, and possibly burnout. In addition, there may be a sense that there are no answers. As a result, motivation and engagement with others may decline. Big questions like “What in the world am I going to do?” or conclusions like“I just don’t see a way forward” cloud the mind. Sometimes a person may not even recognize that they are stuck.
Coaching can help a person move beyond feeling stifled and overwhelmed by a problem-focused cycle of thinking. Instead, coaching employs a solution-focused approach that empowers a broader vision while unlocking untapped imagination, creativity, and ideation. It challenges thinking, encourages constructive self- reflection, and creates new awareness that opens the mind to invigorating solutions that lead to positive, productive forward movement.
If you can’t fly then run, if you can’t run then walk, if you can’t walk then crawl, but whatever you do you have to keep moving forward. — Martin Luther King Jr
